CIMA Operational Level
CIMA Operational Level Accounting
This course is ideal for those who have completed the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting or the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting who would like to work towards the next level of qualifications.
The Operational Level subjects include:
• Enterprise Operations
• Performance Operations
• Financial Operations
Upon successful completion of the above subjects students will then undertake an integrated case study.
The pace of study is determined by the individual as subjects are delivered as standalone modules, meaning you could take one, two or three modules at a time.
Each subject is assessed externally by a computer based exam which are on demand and can be taken at a time to suit the student, with the exception of the case study assessment which is available four times a year. Please see the CIMA website for more details www.cimaglobal.com of exam centres.
Each module is delivered on one evening per week for approximately 16 weeks prior to the exam sitting.
To join the Operational Level of CIMA, students need to have achieved the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting. Prior to being able to sit an Operational Level exam, students must have applied for and have in place CIMA membership and exemptions from the Certificate in Business Accounting.
Course progression route
Upon successful completion of the three Operational Level papers students will be awarded the CIMA Diploma in Management Accounting.
Students can progress on the Managerial Level, which is awarded the CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting. If students wish to progress further, there is a Strategic Level which accompanied by the professional competence test provides the distinguished membership of CIMA.
